Steve Darby….

I’ve been asked to say a few words about me, so despite being the shy retiring type here we go.

Well I’ve been around Motorcycles since I was 16 when I bought my Puch moped, wow that just brought back some good memories. Since then I’ve lost count of the bikes I’ve owned but it’s an awful lot, since that moped to now I’ve only gone 4 hours without owning a bike and that was a mistake by me when I was 19.

I joined the Police Traffic Dept in 1986 and was very lucky to join the motorcycle section where I stayed for a very long time and I was even more fortunate to become the Force Advanced Instructor for both on and off road.

I have also been an Examiner for the IAM since 1995 and for RoSPA for the last 7 years carrying out motorcycle and car tests on their behalf.

Since I retired from the Police in 2011 I’ve been involved in driver training for a private ambulance company and currently work as an Emergency Medical Technician as well as RTV of course!!

At the moment I am running around on a Triumph Explorer and a Honda Fireblade but always looking for more!!

Hope to meet some of you soon
