Wow what an awesome day!

Wow what an awesome day...147 miles later............firstly a huge thank you to Nick and Dick for making the day so enjoyable..started at the Pit Stop in the best way possible with a couple of coffees...lunch at Burger King and more coffee at Helmsley............in between some great riding with very helpful and useful advice..As the day went on my confidence grew with encouragement from Nick over the airwaves. He gently coaxed me beyond my comfort zone, tucking the bike in to the left for the right handlers. That left hand side is my or should I say worst fear..not 100% comfortable with it yet but certainly nearer than I was yesterday morning.......after the first part of the day which was the start of us changing the way we ride the bends this was the most challenging. Before yesterday we just rode the bend keeping a more centre position. So by the end of the day the new position was fixed in our head and we are probably 85% better than we were. And gears, another change to what we have been doing. I always rode up to 6th as soon as......The guys yesterday suggested 3rd and mid way on the rev counter...made the bike more responsive in the bends...........And then there was the slow stuff....I will practice.......needs more gas and back brake.......... I will be going back for another day with Nick when I have had a chance to put in place the suggestions he gave me yesterday and improve on them........All in all an amazing day and cannot recommend this day enough if you want to improve your riding........the day will be tailored to your specific needs too. THANKS GUYS. SEE YOU AGAIN SOON XX

Just a quick word of thanks for an outstanding course last week. Exceptionally beneficial and thoroughly enjoyable. All due, in no small measure, to the professional, diligent and clearly expert guidance of Nick Walker. Even the banter was first class. I doubt there is a course available for road riding that can match your product. Brilliant guys, keep it up.

Extremely good value for money!

Yes, the programme represented extremely good value for money. I think the course has been refined to a point that it would be difficult to improve. There were numerous elements of the course which attracted me to it and without doubt one of the most important was the flexible way in which the programme could be delivered to build on my existing skills. Nick’s delivery of the course and encouragement was absolutely first class.

Great talk at our Group meeting

Hi Nick/Steve On behalf of Northumbria Advanced Motorcyclists can I thank you for a great talk at our Group meeting on Tuesday 12 March 2013. It was very enjoyable and informative. You certainly gave the Group plenty to think about. I know that you generated a lot of interest amongst Group members and many are now considering taking their riding skills further. I have no doubt you will be receiving enquiries about your courses in the next few weeks. Once again, thank you for giving up your valuable time. Kind Regards Mick Goodwin Secretary  Northumbria Advanced Motorcyclists

Left with more skills than I arrived with!

Hi Nick, I trust you are well? Just a quick message to thank you once again for the RideWell Experience on Thursday and Friday - it was most enjoyable and I feel I certainly left with more skills than I arrived with! Now I just need to find time to practice, practice, practice (especially those u-turns lol). Anyway I don't know how far in advance you take bookings but I was wondering if it would be possible to book a repeat session for sometime in March or April 2013, for a Wednesday, Thursday, or Thursday, Friday combo? For planning purposes on a 1-to-1 basis? Also for your info I had my GPS tracker running while we did the sessions and I attach a couple of Google compatible data files you can display in Google Earth or Google Maps on the RideWell Tees Valley website etc if you want? Kind regards, Adam M.

Enjoyed Experience

Hi Nick, Just a quick line to say how much I enjoyed the 'Experience', I just hope I can remember it all and put it in to good practice. I found the whole thing brilliant, it all made so much sense, and moving from 1 road type to another and bring the tempo down to match the conditions...  I was shattered last night, but was still on a high lol. So, a big thanks mate.... Ride safe, Peter

Many thanks to Nick and the rest of the Ridewell team

This is the second time that we have attended this post test rider development programme and would highly recommend it to anyone who rides motorcycles. We feel that it is excellent value for money. Good points: Nick is very calm, reassuring and encouraging. He never pushes you out of your comfort zone yet encourages you to take that extra step that you never thought possible. Regular stops for debriefing along with comfort breaks stop you from tiring whilst at the same time encouraging you to reflect on what you have achieved and how to further develop. There was an excellent balance between instruction and demonstration enabling us to see and then having the confidence to do. His commentary throughout the two days was very informative and always delivered at the right moment. Even when riding at number three rider you never stop learning and Nick is still totally aware of where you are and what you are doing. This has now given me the ability to keep up with bikes ahead as I’ve always tended to drop off the pace of the rider in front. Having attended last year I didn’t think I could improve as much as a year ago but I rode away feeling I had improved as much if not more due to the programme being pitched to the level of the rider. This is a very well developed and run programme. Bad points: Well Nick even turned that into a good point …… the rain!! I am now much more confident in the rain and by the end of day 1 was riding more progressively in the rain than when we met up at the start of the day. Roll on the rain!!!!! Just a shame the course came to an end. Thoroughly enjoyed both days. I personally do not have any tips for improvement of the programme as I feel the course was tailored to what Ian and I asked for, which was delivered and built on by Nicks’ expertise. Many thanks to Nick and the rest of the Ridewell team.

Steve was a breath for fresh air to our riding the whole experience was great from word go. I’ve been riding for over 37 years and never had any training on how to ride a bike, I was taught things that I will practise and hopefully master to make me a safer rider A Good 2 days Many thanks

Excellent Value for Money

I think the programme was excellent value for money, 2 days 121 for £250 in today’s world is an incredible bargain...........but please don’t increase, as I feel most folk will only realise how good the value is, after the 2 days. For what I feel I needed, I don’t think you could improve the programme (unless you can control the weather!) I was delighted Nick was not sitting waiting for me dressed like a belisha beacon on a dayglow Pan 😉 This approach really does put the student at ease and makes you feel like two bikers out for the day rather than Yoda and Luke Skywalker ! Throughout the 2 days I was put at ease, received some great tips, went on some fantastic roads well chosen to demonstrate all aspects of riding. Many thanks Nick you made 2 days feel like 2 hours. Cheers...........Andy

Brilliant 2 Days

Hi Nick Just wanted to say that I had a brilliant 2days with Steve. I changed my bike a few days before, so was still getting to know the Tiger. Steve's easy going nature made me feel relaxed from the start but once we got into it he pushed me a bit harder which I was a bit reluctant to do. But I put my faith in him and pushed on. Never thought a Triumph Tiger would lean so far over without falling off. I am now riding quicker with much more confidence and riding with a smile once again. I have even got my wife on the back again. Please pass this on to Steve as I don't have his email. Thanks to everyone at Ridewell Tees Valley, especially Steve. Once again Many thanks Ian Littlefair

RoSPA Tutor Training

Dear Nick, RoSPA Tutor Training On behalf of Advanced Riders North Yorkshire (ARNY) I would like to express our gratitude and appreciation for the tutor training day last Saturday. The feedback was extremely positive from each of the tutors who all acknowledged that there are areas where the training will improve their abilities as a tutor. As usual the relaxed but professional approach suited the audience extremely well. Getting the examiners view on particular issues was a very useful element and we are now reviewing our approach to standardise our approach and provide consistency where possible. Setting up and understanding the dynamics of a voluntary group is new territory for most of ARNY and the support of you and your team is very much appreciated. I would have no hesitation in recommending RTV to any motorcyclist at any level and I look forward to joining you and Steve for further training on a commercial basis later in the Month. Yours sincerely, Tony Brunskill
